Manikandakshethra (Ashtanaga Prathishta)

With only two women remaining in the family, members of Ubhayaoor illam, residents of janmam parambu, porkalangad surrendered their land in the name of Sree Guruvayoorappan. Guruvayoor devaswom decided to lend the land to shri.Nampalattu Govindan Kuttimenon. The devaswom was later brought under government rule. The lending continued for 12 years. A Bengali brahmin named Rao was the government representative at that time. This land served as the 'Goshala' for the devaswom during this period. Milk for the day to day activities of the temple was obtained through this goshala. Later when the government rule ended, the land was lend to a man named Raghavan Nair and he was followed by Kolady Shankarankutty Menon. He then transferred....
